Curt Siffert

Curt started out his musical life obsessed with the piano, buried in Chopin sheet music and falling asleep to recordings of Prokofiev concerti while imagining himself at the bench. Billy Joel and Harry Connick Jr. served to complicate this life plan as he found himself crooning pop songs and jazz standards in high school hallways.

He co-founded an a cappella group in college called In The Buff – still going strong 20 years later – and served as their first music director, supplying several arrangements and writing two originals which were featured on their first cd. After graduating with a degree in piano he eventually became something of a musical jack-of-all-trades, going from music-directing a Sondheim musical to writing and orchestrating a short film score for full orchestra. More recently, he self-produced a seven-song album called Not Today, available on iTunes, that features his jazz-influenced piano pop.

Curt is happy to be helping out Restless as their utility infielder, lending his talents to cover parts, sub for gigs, and help out with arrangements.
